Outlook 2007 Add-Ins

Outlook 2007 Add-Ins : RulesAddin, TravelAgencyAddin, and PrepareMeAddin

The Outlook 2007 Sample Add-Ins are a learning tool that will help you understand some of the important new features in the Outlook 2007 object model. Each sample is available in a version for Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition (VSTO 2005 SE) in addition to the version based on the Outlook 2007 Sample: Visual Studio 2005 Templates.
They provide coverage of the following important new areas:

• Using the Rules object model, which allows you to programmatically create or access most rules supported by the Outlook Rules Wizard (Rules sample)
• Implementing a form region for an Outlook contact item (Travel Agency sample)
• Adding a custom task pane to an Outlook AppointmentItem (Prepare Me sample)

Software Development Kit for Windows Vista

The Microsoft® Windows® Software Development Kit (SDK) provides the documentation, samples, header files, libraries, and tools you need to develop applications that run on Windows.

The Windows SDK includes content for application development with the APIs in Windows Vista, including the .NET Framework 3.0 technologies: .NET Framework 2.0, Windows® Presentation Foundation, Windows® Communication Foundation, Windows® Workflow Foundation, and Windows CardSpace.

This SDK is designed for use with Windows Vista (which includes Framework 3.0). The Windows SDK for Vista also supports creating applications for Windows XP, Windows Server® 2003 SP1, and Windows Server 2003 R2.

Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP

The Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer provides the ability to view, organize, and print photos captured in RAW image formats from supported Canon and Nikon digital cameras. Often likened to a digital negative, a RAW image is the native image format for a growing number of quality digital cameras. Because of the camera-specific nature of RAW files, they are not supported natively within Microsoft Windows. As a result, photographers shooting RAW have not been able to take advantage of the built-in features provided in Windows XP for viewing, organizing, and printing RAW photos–until now.

Windows Easy Transfer for Windows XP and Windows 2000

Windows Easy Transfer for your Windows XP or Windows 2000 based PC helps you so that you can automatically copy your files, photos, music, email, settings, and more to your new Windows Vista based PC. This software enables you to transfer data with Easy Transfer Cables (Windows 2000 not supported) or across a network, external drive, or CD/DVD.

The Windows Easy Transfer software is already built into Windows Vista, so it is not necessary to install it on a Windows Vista based PC. Windows Easy Transfer enables you to automatically copy your files, photos, music, email, settings, and more to your new Windows Vista based PC. This makes it much easier to setup your new computer with all your personal data and settings. This software provides support for transfering data with Easy Transfer Cables (Windows 2000 not supported) or across a network, external drive, or CD/DVD. As an alternative to downloading, Windows Easy Transfer can be installed from the CD that came with your Easy Transfer Cable, or by following the directions in the Windows Vista version of Windows Easy Transfer on how to copy the program to Windows XP or Windows 2000. Note: Settings will not be transferred if moving from Windows 2000.
