Outlook 2007 Add-Ins : RulesAddin, TravelAgencyAddin, and PrepareMeAddin

The Outlook 2007 Sample Add-Ins are a learning tool that will help you understand some of the important new features in the Outlook 2007 object model. Each sample is available in a version for Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition (VSTO 2005 SE) in addition to the version based on the Outlook 2007 Sample: Visual Studio 2005 Templates.
They provide coverage of the following important new areas:

• Using the Rules object model, which allows you to programmatically create or access most rules supported by the Outlook Rules Wizard (Rules sample)
• Implementing a form region for an Outlook contact item (Travel Agency sample)
• Adding a custom task pane to an Outlook AppointmentItem (Prepare Me sample)

Note The Outlook 2007 sample add-ins run only on Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, or Visual Studio 2005 Team System. If you are using Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition or Microsoft Visual Basic Express Edition to open the sample add-ins, you will not be able to build the setup/deployment project for the sample add-ins.

Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP

The Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer provides the ability to view, organize, and print photos captured in RAW image formats from supported Canon and Nikon digital cameras. Often likened to a digital negative, a RAW image is the native image format for a growing number of quality digital cameras. Because of the camera-specific nature of RAW files, they are not supported natively within Microsoft Windows. As a result, photographers shooting RAW have not been able to take advantage of the built-in features provided in Windows XP for viewing, organizing, and printing RAW photos–until now.

Microsoft Community Bar

The Community bar adds context-dependent content to the web browsing experience. The Community Bar is actually an entire platform for applications whose content depends on the page that the user is currently viewing. It is very easy for anyone to create new Community Bar panels. As you browse the web, you can see (and leave) notes from other people who visited the same page, tag the page with a bookmark or category label, view all the inlinks to the page, find related pages, and perform context-specific search.

Microsoft OpenType Font File Properties Extension

The Microsoft OpenType font file properties extension adds several new tabs to the properties dialog box for OpenType and TrueType font files. If you right click on a font file in Windows, its basic properties are displayed. This extension adds several new property tabs to this properties dialog box. These include information relating to font name, the origination and copyright, and the code pages supported by extended character sets.
